PS: I didn't found the Vivaldi's search suggestions to be slow, for me, as soon as I stop typing, it gives me suggestions, which I mostly never use. I haven't tested with Vivaldi, because I already beaten the campaign and uninstalled it, but in games like OW, it causes some stuttering randomly (That I aren't sure if was caused by Vivaldi or anything else on the system) The results were, the limiters wasn't able to avoid stream freezes, so leaving them off and setting the stream to 144p was the most effective way of watch and play, with 1~3 frames dropping sometimes. The performance impact doesn't seen problematic to me, like, when I'll start a game, I close many tabs as I can, leaving only essential opened (WhatsApp Web and if I'm playing a multiplayer game, Reddit or twitter as well).īTW, I tested Opera GX's CPU and RAM limiter, by leaving a live stream in the secondary monitor, and playing AC:Origins. The print screen tool isn't the best one out there (Firefox has the best one in my opinion). I choose Vivaldi because the side panels, tab stacking and tilting, and one of my favorite tools, session manager, which is better than any extension I've tried, it saves tabs and tab stacks, how they were sized (in case of tab tilting), and even in which monitor was that window. I like them both, but at the moment I'm using Vivaldi with a personal mod to make it look like Opera GX. very rare, some pages doesn't load from first try i had to reload to load page correctly adress bar is a mess - slow suggestions

slow performance overall compared to other chromium browsers, vivaldi is the slowest + of course, the main advantage for vivaldi is the customization: you can change colors, themes, even the whole interface via css modding sometime team behind the project: they are like don't care about users Opera 60 was a failure, now seems to be better mouse gestures not customizable (so i had to use a 3rd extension for this) + battery saver (yes, for me it's a big deal, even if the laptop is plugged in - with battery saver, cpu stays maybe 4-5C cooler)

+ selected text features like copy, search or transform (currencies, units and many more) + some features that vivaldi lacks (middle click on tab bar for new tab is my favourite) + better download manager (just a button away) + polished UI (history, bookmarks, downloads etc. + faster overall (startup, loading internal pages - like speed dial) The main reason for this was speed and more polished UI. I was a Opera user from 8.x version, tried and used for a while Vivaldi and came back to Opera.
